Countdown will today be serving the community of Crofton Downs once again with the opening of its 168th supermarket, Countdown Churchill Drive, opened today by local MP Peter Dunne.

Vinegar Lane comes to life: Work starts on Woolworths New Zealand’ Ponsonby Retail and Business Precinct
Work has officially started on Woolworths New Zealand’ Ponsonby retail development, Vinegar Lane, located on the corner of Pollen Street and Williamson Avenue in central Auckland.
Countdown is pleased to confirm it has bought land for a new generation supermarket in Stratford, located at 21A - 27 Broadway.
Woolworths New Zealand does not add sulphites to its fresh meat and the recent samples taken by the Ministry for Primary Industries, which showed positive results for sulphites, were not from any Countdown, SuperValue or FreshChoice supermarket.
